Climate change and its global impact
The earth is warming up. Rising sea levels, prolonged droughts, and severe storms are a direct consequence of increasing greenhouse gas emissions. According to the IPCC, global temperature rise must be limited to 1.5°C to prevent the most severe consequences. The Netherlands, as a low-lying delta, is particularly affected. Higher water levels in the North Sea, salinisation of agricultural land, and more intense rainfall force us to act now. The transition to renewable energy sources is no longer a choice but a necessity for protecting our living environment.
